This book was very short, so if my son were older he probably would be disappointed considering how much more there are to the other 2 books, but being only 2.5, he loved it!!

- Bad Kitty is back! But, this time, she’s not alone! Her creator, Nick Bruel, is right in the plot! With the (unwilling) help of Kitty, Mr. Bruel tells us readers how to write a good story . The reader learns about protagonists, setting, plot, conflict, foreshadowing and much more in a fun-filled way. The is that Kitty needs to go on a diet of turnips, because she’s gained a LOT of weight recently (thanks to Mr. Bruel and his trusty paint brush). But, the thing is, Kitty doesn’t even LIKE turnips. And, Puppy is eating all of her food. Plus, the giant octopuses outside the house (generously provided by Mr. Bruel) keep Kitty from running away.
This is a hilarious addition to the Bad Kitty series. In fact, I think this is my new favorite (sorry Bad Kitty vs. Uncle Murray) because of all the information it gives about writing a book. Mr. Bruel’s humor is awesome. I love that the antagonist in the story is a turnip. ) Mr. Bruel wrote a great book that teaches kids all about writing and made it a totally enjoyable story. The idea of the author/illustrator and character interacting is very cool (even though Bad Kitty is NOT impressed by it). I like how Mr. Bruel adds comments from his editor, “Nealâ€, on little sticky notes “stuck†to the pages reminding him of things he shouldn’t be doing in the story. There is also a handy glossary in the back of the book with the definitions of the parts of the story Mr. Bruel goes over (and a recipe for roasted turnips hee hee lol ). I think kids of all ages will enjoy this book for the hilarious story and learn something along the way! - My son started reading Bad Kitty books at the beginning of this year. He loved this book just as much as the rest. In this book you get to learn how to draw Bad Kitty which he loved. The author has done an amazing job of writing this series and keeping kids hooked. All of them have inspired a love of reading in a little boy who hates school. I can't say enough great things about the entire series. It's a must read for any kids from 1st to 3rd grade.
I love that the book is easy enough for my 7yr old (1st Grader) to read on his own and only has to ask about a few words. This way he's not frustrated with stopping and starting the book so many times for me to help him and yet it challenges him to learn some new words as well.
Keep them coming! - I saw this on the shelf at the store and thought it looked cute, so I borrowed it from the library to check it out. Well, we ended up loving it so much that I had to buy a copy. My 8 year old son laughed so hard he cried - to his great surprise and confusion. He didn't know that was possible, as he'd never experienced it before! This is the first chapter book he ever read on his own, and he has since read it over and over, as well as every other Nick Bruel title we've been able to get our hands on.
- This was delivered yesterday and my daughter sat and read the book in about an hour. She loves reading, and is an advanced reader, but honestly not many things keep her still and focused as long as she is when reading one of the Bad Kitty books.

Cute book, just very little to it and it doesn't go through the ABC's like the others do... - I love all the Bad Kitty books. This one is full color, which is fun. It's a shorter length to keep the attention of little ones. It has fun stickers in the back! It's a cute story and will keep the attention of little ones. It is not a board book, and I was hoping that it would be so my one year old daughter could really read it and play with it. I couldn't find anything in the product description saying if it was a board book or not. A board book has stiff thick pages, meant for toddlers so they can't rip the book up. Still, it's a great book.
- My daughter loves this series. I have been looking for a young chapter book series for her and this is it. She loves the humor and Bad Kitty's sticky situations!
- An adorable book that I read an did activitie with my 6 year old. the story is geared for how to write a story, but also shows you how to draw bad kitty, she laughed so hard by the writers style an reading an than drawing with him. I sit an try doing art all the time with my kids so why not a favorite character? My daughter wants to here the story just for fun an I enjoyed it as a silly story an a learning experience. It's a cute set up. An I love the smile my kids get from this book.
